WHO ARE YOU?

As a passionate writer, reader, and gamer I've worked in a variety of self-driven and professional games from First Person Shooters to TRGPs. I collaborate with artists, level designers, animators and programmers to harness the power of narrative across all development disciplines.    

WHAT DO YOU DO?

I provide narrative support for projects at all stages of release. Currently, I work in-house at Antimatter Games on first person spy thriller IGI : Origins. I am also available for freelance work, where I've contributed to Plarium's dark fantasy MMORG Raid: Shadow Legends and TruePlayer's mobile sensation UnderKnight.  

UNANNOUNCED SHOOTER

SENIOR NARRATIVE DESIGNER | 2023 - PRESENT

Working at BHVR Interactive on a AAA third-person shooter with deep lore but light narrative devices.  

  • Create lore videos to excite and inform the team about the game's world and story. 

  • Be the main point of contact for narrative decisions. 

  • Design methods for telling stories in non-linear, untraditional methods. 

  • Plan for a potentially never-ending, story content for live episodic chunks.

IGI: ORIGINS

WRITER & NARRATIVE DESIGNER | 2020 - 2023

  • Writing cinematic and gameplay scripts for a branching narrative. 

  • Collaborating with departments to ensure a cohesive narrative voice. 

  • Casting, directing and implementing voice over. 

  • Script supervisor during performance capture sessions.

Reboot of a noughties franchise, IGI : Origins is a spy thriller set against the backdrop the 1980's Cold War.  My duties include but are not limited to: 

RAID: SHADOW LEGENDS

 FREELANCE WRITER | FEB - MAY '23 

  • Writing character biographies within existing lore.

  • A dark fantasy writing style. 

  • Liaising with Lore Master and Editors to ensure  narrative cohesion across all writing. 

UNDERKNIGHT

 FREELANCE NARRATIVE DESIGN| JUNE '22

  • Advising on narrative design solutions for a mobile game with tight real estate. 

  • Deliver story in compelling and engaging methods without detracting from gameplay. 

DEAL WITH THE DEVIL 

WRITER |  2016-2018

Lovecraftian first person horror game, a globetrotting extravaganza set in glorious 1920's.  

  • Writing dialogue for protagonist Amelia and a host of supporting characters.

  • Working with a team of remote writers on first pass dialouge.

  • Creating documents for an unrealised Alternate Reality Game.  

GATES OF AMENTI

WRITER & NARRATIVE DESIGNER |  2018

  • Writing all in game scripts, primarily voice over and audio logs.

  • Creating plot points and ensuring narrative was upheld across all departments. 

  • Researching Egyptian afterlife and creating notes and documents to inform design, art, and levels.

ALCHEMICA

  • Creating distinct characters whose personalities shone during gameplay and dialogue. 

  • Writing journal information about enemies encountered 

  • Crafting a plot that made sense of the major gameplay element.
